Projects
As I have continued my education in the School of Communication, I have created many projects, specifically those in my DCIM minor courses which exemplify my digital skills. Below, I have featured some of my projects from my DCIM courses which highlight my learned skills related to digital graphic design, information research, and audio production.

Blog
DCIM Capstone 04:189:451:01
I chose to create an additional blog in my journey throughout the DCIM minor about education technologies after a newfound love for education in addition to Communication. The topic of education technology relates heavily to our not only our education system today, but the digital age we live in as well. After experiencing online learning during a pandemic, I felt it would be beneficial to create a blog which dives into a few of the many education technologies used during these times, and how their importance has changed since. This blog furthered my research and website design skills.
Blog
Strategic Presentation Methods 04:189:251:02
This project is a blog I created about fashion, but more specifically, issues within the fashion industry. For this blog, I chose a topic that I was passionate about and conducted quality
research which I utilized to write numerous blog posts. The creation of this blog taught me skills about website design and how to strategically present information. In addition, I better understood how I could use my voice through writing to share information about relevant issues within the fashion industry.
Podcast
Strategic Presentation Methods 04:189:251:02
In addition to designing a blog about issues within the fashion industry, I also produced a podcast about a specific nonprofit organization that works to protect fashion worker's rights known as the Clean Clothes Campaign. This podcast project introduced me to the realm of audio production and taught me about the many aspects which go into this process such as research, scripting, and editing. In this podcast, I not only present information researched about the issue of worker's rights and the Clean Clothes Campaign, but emphasize a call-to-action.
Request for Proposal
In this course, we were provided the opportunity to create a real RFP for the hot sauce brand De La Viuda. The founder of the public relations firm who is currently working with the brand came in to present De La Viuda to us. From there, we conducted research, analyzed target audiences, developed marketing strategies, and created a pitch for our campaign. This opportunity provided us with real experience of working for a client as well as experience working collaboratively to create strategies that would increase brand awareness or revenue.

Structure of Information 04:189:152:04
For this project, I created an infographic about the potential impacts of driverless cars. The purpose of this project was to not only learn more about digital graphic design, but to focus on presenting clear, concise, and credible information about a singular topic. This project allowed me to research a topic of my choice, narrow down the most important information, and present my findings in a creative, attractive graphic.
